Addax lives in the deserts of West Africa. It features an X-shaped pattern on the face and twisted corners. Since ancient times, it has been the target of hunting for its skin, horns, and food. It is already extinct in North Africa and has a wild population of 30-90. It is one of the most endangered mammals today.
