A beautiful cracidae with a blue hump under its beak. The feathers on the top of the head are curled up. The number is rapidly decreasing due to deforestation, and the current population is about 2000. Breeding programs are being held in various places, and breeding has been successful in Neo Park Okinawa in Japan as well.

青いコブをくちばしの下に持つ美しいホウカンチョウ。頭頂の羽毛はクルクルとカールしている。
森林伐採で急速に数を減らしており、現在の生息数は2000羽程度。
各地で繁殖プログラムが行わており、日本でも沖縄県のネオパークオキナワで繁殖に成功している。
